2012-01-11 to 13 - to Emerald Bay Marina, Great Exuma

After Roxy and Robert left, Connor was very upset (as we all were) and was sorely missing them.  Within an hour a dinghy pulled up with a family including in little boy, named Christian.  They are from an identical boat to ours named 'Anne Bonney' and they came by to see if the boys could get together to play.  Connor was thrilled.  It really turned his emotions around and they connected immediately.  Christian came to our boat for a while and then later Connor went to play with them at the beach.  It was great to meet such a great kid.  The kids we have met so far have been a bit older and some haven't been as friendly as we had expected boater kids to be which is a shame.  Anyway, they were like two peas in a pod!  On the 12th, we ended up heading up together to Emerald Bay Marina just 10 miles north of Georgetown.  This little break is what we all needed.  It has TV (check pic above), Internet (hence the blog update), laundry (free!)...wow, showers (double wow!).  Another boat with kids were here and they had fun running around the club house enjoying being indoors for a while.  It's quite opposite of what parents want for kids, but when we are in the outdoors 24 hours per day....it is a fun change.  In the club house there is a small bar area that doesn't look like it is being used regularly.  We ended up bringing up our blender and enjoying shared snacks with Anne Bonney!  It was a great night.  Tomorrow we head back to George Town.  sigh.  I really could get used to this.
